New Jersey Charter Fishing Reports

It has been a very long winter so far for Jersey Hooker Charters. It is hard to imagine we have another month of this! We are all very excited for the 2009 season. The Jersey Hooker has been outfitted with 10 brand new Okuma Titus Gold 50W two speed reels, 6 custom stand up rods for offshore fishing , 8 shimano casting rod reel combos for inshore fishing, 10 new big game trolling lures and a set of Penn down riggers for inshore and offshore fishing.
Jersey Hooker Charters has survived on word of mouth for the past four years. We decided for the 2009 season to do some advertising. We are excited to announce we are now a sponsor on http://njsaltwaterfisherman.com/ we are currently looking for other advertising avenues.
We plan on starting the season off at the end of March with some bottom fishing for Ling and Tautog ( Black Fish). We will be sailing two trips ½ day daily for Winter Flounder in April, working our way rite into the spring Striper migration. If you would like to get in on some serious Striped Bass action the spring is the time to catch your Trophy Stripers aboard the Jersey Hooker. When the Striper migration shows up we will sail ½ day open boat trips every day, two times a day with reservation limited to six anglers cost will be $75 per angler. There are many species of fish to be caught off New Jersey's coast during the month of June. New Jersey's offshore canyons start to heat up at the end of June. This time of year our prime focus are canyon charters. Most customer want to wait till September to book an over night canyon trip. But after the 2008 season we encourage our customers to get out on a day troll and experience some of the most exciting big game fishing New Jersey's offshore canyons have to offer. Mean while all of this exciting big game fishing is going on there is plenty of action in the inshore waters. during July and August the waters will hold Bluefish, Sea Bass, Fluke (Summer Flounder), Stripers and Tautog.

Nj Canyon Tuna Charter Tuna Fishing New Jersey

We would like to take the time to give our customers some info that is not posted up on the website and some current events. Jersey Hooker Charters was founded in 2004 by Captain Rich Wilkowski. Jersey Hooker Charters strives to be a full time sport fishing adventure service. Each season we get closer and closer to running on profit brought in through the sale of charters. The winter ending in 2008 and beginning in 2009 is our first winter that we have aggressively book charters for the winter months. We have ran a few charters and have made our customers very happy. The Jersey Hooker is scheduled for a haul out for the first week of April and we are having her wheels serviced some fresh bottom paint rolled on and a new depth sounder and chart plotter installed. These are all very exciting things for us.The phones start ringing and emails start pouring in by the second week of April. Then the season hits full bore none stop till October. Captain Rich and crew plane to enter in as many tournaments as possible this season but will not let the tournaments get in the way of his customer charters ...

Nj Charter Boat Fishing Bottom Fishing New Jersey

The Ling fishing has been good with a few Tautog and Cod mixed in. We are available for private charter and shared charters (Open Boat). We are arranging some Cod charters as well. Mackerel Fishing Charter New Jersey

We have been informed from a fellow charter boat the Mackerel are around still about 2 hour ride from the dock to get to them. We are running private charter for 6 anglers, $800 for a 10 hour day. We may make a couple drops for ling if the customers want. We will run Mackerel trips as long as they are within reach.

We are offering a smoking service for your Mackerel $3.50 per pound if the macks are gutted and scaled and its an addition $1.00 per pound if they are not cleaned. it will be about a 24 hour turn around time for your fish to be smoked.
