From June to the end of July, the majority of the fish are caught by trolling. It is not uncommon to have nine reels screaming at once. August starts the 30 hour over night canyon trips. they are combination trips, troll 'till sun set, set up on the night chunk, then troll again at first light. Ok so you want to hear about canyon tuna! Well it has been on fire offshore but, just like every other year everyone wants to wait till September to book their trips. We have made a few trips offshore with plenty of success, I have also filled in on a couple private boats as a captain or mate. All the trips have been great.
