Fishing Report 12/9/07

It was a frigid windless Sunday morning and the allstar crew met up at the dock to catch some moster striped bass. Aboard the Jersey Hooker, Captain Rich, Big Rich (Captain Rich's father) , Stanley Wilkowski and Mean Dean Holonics set sail to SLAY some stripers, however there was one key member of the Jersey Hooker crew missing, our first mate Bart Martinez.

Captain Rich decided he would sail north of the Barnegat inlet in search of life. He tried to remain on the same course in which he was successful last weekend. Captain Rich's skills paid off when the crew boated their first fish. The fish was 32 inches and weighed 13 pounds. The captain contunied to troll off Island Beach State Park. This area produced 21 Bass, 19 short stripers most of them 27 inches, just below the legal limit. However a 32.5 incher weighing in at a fat 14 1/2 pounds and a Trophy bass 36.5 inches long, rocking the scale at 19 and 1/4 pounds.

The crew ended up with two keeper bass and a trophy bass releasing 19 short stripers. This ened up being a great trip even with out the first mate.
