Captain Rich had mentioned that the key dates are booking up fast for the 2008 charter season. The Jersey Hooker is currenty fishing for winter flounder and will continue untill the middle of April when we will be primarly targeting striped bass. We are running open boat trips by reservation on the days we are not privately chartered. Jersey Hooker Charter is still running the sale on the 2008 over night canyon tuna trips paid for in full before June 15, 2008. The Captain has been watching the weather and ocean water temperatures inshore and offshore, the inshore waters are still a little cool. There have been some reports of short striped bass and bluefish being caught. There have also been some warm water out at the canyons for the past two weeks, but weather is not cooperating to allow any boats out to make the trip offshore. April Tuna fish, who knows!!
