Captain Rich Wilkowski and Crew of the Jersey Hooker have been waiting anxiously for the over night tuna bite to explode wide open in New Jersey's offshore canyons. Capt. says it should happen any day, he feels the canyons are going to see schools of 100 + pound yellowfin tuna this year. Charter dates are booking up real fast this season almost all of the weekend dates are booked. The Jersey Hooker has been out for a few inshore trips and fishing is good tons of blue fish, bonito, false albacore and schoolie bluefin tuna. Capt added that for those real thrill seekers the lager bluefin tuna are within range he will run special trips to the southern lumps and ridges these are troll / chunk trips it is not uncommon for 200 + pound bluefin tuna to be caught.
