5/31 Capt Rich had the Jersey Hooker out yesterday for a last minute charter. The Charter arrived late all hopes of getting in on the first light striper blitz was lost. Fished a couple bunker schools just north of Barnegat Inlet with few signs of life other than bunker. Capt Rich head out to the tires where the charter pulled a few short fluke, smooth dog fish, and short seabass. The Jersey hooker steamed for the GSN reef site with little to no wind at this point capt drifted the area hand full of short fluke, 20 keeper sea bass 30 short sea bass and couple of snapper blues not a bad day. The half day charter ended up being a full day.

Charter dates are booking up real fast this season almost all of the weekend dates are booked. The Jersey Hooker has been out for a few inshore trips and fishing is good tons of blue fish, bonito, false albacore and schoolie bluefin tuna. Capt added that for those real thrill seekers the lager bluefin tuna are within range he will run special trips to the southern lumps and ridges these are troll / chunk trips it is not uncommon for 200 + pound bluefin tuna to be caught.

Captain Rich is Planning on moving the Jersey Hooker Back to her summer birth @ long key Marina in Waretown, New Jersey. The skipper is looking forward to the 2008 fishing season.
