Tautog Charters Nj Blackfish Charter New Jersey Report 12/3

The Jersey Hooker set sail today 12/3/08 with the Jerry Colangelo charter of Neptune NJ. Jerry brought along his two buddies Rich and Tony. Arriving at the Garden State North Reef around 8am. Quickly Jerry landed a slob of a Tautog (BlackFish) that weighed in at 10 pounds , (Jerry said this was his biggest Tautog to date). Shortly after another slob weighing in at 8 pounds. The charter had steady action ending up with 12 BlackFish biggest weighing in at 10 pounds. Around 12:30 I told the charter we were gonna try another piece of the wreck the they made the call just to head in. I like to thank Jerry and his gang they were a great group of hardcore fishermen, I am looking forward to having them out again.

***We are currently running Striped Bass Charters . A body of larger Stripers are moving south to our fishing grounds. Book your Fall Striper Charter with us!

***We are also running charters for Tautog (blackfish) . This is the time to book a blackfish charter. New Jersey's wrecks are loaded with Tautog rite now. It is not uncommon to have limit catches of nice size tog. ***** Do not forget we sail out of Barnegat Inlet NJ our wrecks do not suffer from fishing pressure like the wrecks to the north.****

New Jersey Striper Charter Report 11/23-11/24 Striped Bass Charter

www.jerseyhookercharters.com

We had the Powerful Pete Charter aboard the Jersey Hooker for a back to back Striper charter Sunday November 23rd and Monday November 24th. We had none stop action with two rods screaming at once both days the catches were made up of Stripers and gator blues. We had to work real hard for the keepers Sunday only managed to put a 29" fish in the boat and released 30 + fish to 27". On Monday Mean Dean Holonics jump aboard the Powerful Pete Charter. Mean Dean is one of our regular customers he gave up on the party boat scene and loves fishing with first mate Bart Martinez and myself. Monday the 24th of November we put a 32" bass and a 35" bass in the cooler. The 35" fish was fat full of sand eels weighed close to 20 pounds. I will put pictures up soon. Gator blues were mixed in as well as releasing over 50+ striped bass in the 27" range. The fish were not stacked up as heavy as I would have liked, so we could get some top notch jigging in. While most boats were chasing the birds and jigging we circled around the fleet trolling. Boats were jigging seemed to have a hard time, I saw a few boats pull up spiny dogs on the jig another reason I didn't bother to set the charter up on the jig. Please call us for shared charter dates . We will fish as long as there are fish to be caught. Get out now guys and gals its gonna be a long cold winter. Capt. Rich Wilkowski 732-688-8804

Fishing report 12/30/07

Captain Rich had the Jiminez charter aboard the Jersey Hooker 12/30. With mixed reports from other skippers, Capt. decided to head north of Barnegat inelt in search of fish, A few days earlier other boats had reported catches from Avon to Spring lake in 45 -65 feet of water. Captain Rich and crew were fishing an area off Island Beach State Park, The Jersey Hooker found herself surrounded by 6 other boats working the same area, Out of the 7 boats working these fishing grounds the Jersey Hooker was the only boat that managed to catch fish. The first fish was a 28 1/2 " bass weighing in at an amazing 11 3/4 pounds. The second fish was 33" long and weighed in at 14 1/2 pounds ( this was one of the heaviest 33" stripers Capt. Rich has ever seen) . It was a slow day aboard the Jersey Hooker but you cannot expect much more considering it was December 30th. Like always Capt Rich managed to put his charter on the fish.
